Founded in 1998, Trade Me is New Zealand’s leading online commerce business.

The business combines on-line properties that span C2C auctions, car sales, house sales, on-line dating and recruitment. The team pioneered online selling in New Zealand, online customer acquisition and social discourse. The business grew-up through the DotCom boom and thrived through the DotCom bust.

The company was sold to Fairfax Media in 2006 for $750m.
