Alimetry is the next-generation technology for diagnostic gastric dysfunction, and plans to be the ‘EKG for the stomach’. Its first product is a wearable medical device that assists with the diagnosis of gastric malfunction, by non-invasively sensing the intensity and patterns of stomach muscle activity (“stomach motility”). The device is a wearable reader and array of 64 electrodes that measure electrical signals in the stomach. The reader wirelessly connects to an iPad which displays analytics and other processed outputs.
